How do you take a traffic ticket to court in Franklin County? If you receive a traffic ticket in Columbus, or another part of Franklin County, and you want to fight a traffic ticket, it will be heard in the Franklin County Municipal Court.

The Traffic Violation Bureau maintains all records pertaining to traffic minor misdemeanor citations issued by the Columbus Division of Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Franklin County Sheriff, The Ohio State University Police, Port Columbus Airport Police, and eight township police departments in Franklin Count. The Traffic Violations Bureau also collects all fines, assists those who elect to attend driver improvement school, and sets court dates for those who wish to contest an infraction violation.

Clerk of Court’s hours of operation for traffic violation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
